The Craft Brewing World welcomes back Josh Miner. At 29 years of age, he brings enormous talent and education with him to Pizza Port. A veteran of the Bay Area Brewing Scene, Josh broke into the brewing scene at Drakes Brewing Co in San Leandro (Hi Rodger). Looking to further his knowledge of all things malted and fermented, Josh most recently completed the first portion of the Masters of Brewing and Distillation program of study at Herriot Watts in Scotland. He will be completing his masters project during the next year. We look forward to numerous opportunities each and everyday to test his knowledge of Scotch. Josh let it slip that while in Scotland he may have practiced speaking like a Scotsman. Thankfully though the company sponsored role of speaking in an awful brogue has already been taken. We also made Josh sign a waiver that if he chooses to brew in a kilt, it won't be in the "manly" tradition. Josh will be responsible for all aspects of production in San Clemente and will occasionally assist us with brewering needs at our other locations.
We couldn't be happier with the inclusion of Josh to our team and we look forward to great things in the future. Josh will be training at our San Clemente location in September and will officially take over the brewing reigns as Head Brewer in October of 2005.
